Privacy Policy

Ishrat Jaha, trading as Bhadohi Originals (a Sole Proprietorship registered in India, "we", "us", "our"), respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using Bhadohi Originals, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

We collect information you give us directly, and a small amount collected automatically:

• Account & contact details: your email address (we use email-only sign-in, so no password is ever collected), name, shipping/billing address, and phone number, when you place an order or save an address.
• Order details: the products you buy, custom rug specifications you submit, and your order history.
• Payment information: handled entirely by Razorpay, see Payments below. We never receive or store your full card, UPI, or bank details.
• Reviews & return requests: any review text, photos, or return/replacement request details you choose to submit.
• Usage data: pages viewed, device/browser type, and approximate location (from IP address), collected automatically via cookies and analytics tools. See Cookies & Analytics.

How We Use It

• To process and fulfil your orders, including calculating shipping and GST, and generating invoices.
• To send OTP login codes and order-status updates (order confirmation, dispatch, delivery, return/replacement updates) by email.
• To respond to support requests sent to support@bhadohioriginals.com or via WhatsApp.
• To understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve it (via Google Analytics, see below).
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or policy violations.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

Cookies & Analytics

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your cart. These are required for the site to function and aren't optional.

We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, general location, device type) so we can improve it. Google Analytics only loads after you accept our cookie notice, shown the first time you visit. You can decline it and continue browsing normally. You can also block or delete cookies at any time in your browser's settings.

Payments

All payments on Bhadohi Originals are processed by Razorpay, a licensed payment aggregator regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. When you pay, your card, UPI, or bank details go directly to Razorpay over an encrypted connection. We never see, receive, or store them ourselves. Razorpay's own privacy policy governs how they handle that data.

Sharing With Third Parties

We share the minimum information necessary with a small number of service providers who help us run the business:

• Razorpay: to process payments.
• Our email provider: to send OTP and order-update emails.
• Shipping/courier partners: your name, address, and phone number, to deliver your order.
• India Post's public pincode lookup: used to verify a pincode you enter; no personal data beyond the pincode itself is sent.
• Google Analytics: anonymised/aggregated usage data, only after cookie consent.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

Data Retention

We keep account and order data for as long as your account is active, and for as long afterward as needed to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations (GST records, for example, must be retained under Indian law). You can ask us to delete your account data at any time, subject to those retention requirements.

Your Rights

You can, at any time, contact us at support@bhadohioriginals.com to:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate account or address details.
• Ask us to delete your account and associated personal data (subject to the retention obligations above).
• Ask a question about how your data is used.

Children's Privacy

Bhadohi Originals is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version, so we encourage you to check back occasionally.
